They call us to fight for country and right,
Some wear khaki, some dressed in blue,
Heroes we’ll all be, not just a few.
So the killing begins; the innocent die,
We’re keeping the peace that is why.
Keep the peace. We’ll give you guns!
Keep the peace! Kill their sons!
There’s kids with no parents, mum’s with no child.
Coffins, higher and higher they’re piled.
The innocent, the blameless trapped in the fire,
Troops bogged down in the bloodiest mire.
“Keep fighting.” Goes out the call.
More dead, more wounded, sightless and all.
Both sides saying: “We’re in the right”.
Both sides saying: “We’ve got the might”.
Through history we’ve fought,
We’ll never be taught.
Medals we’ll win,
Our own kith and kin.
We say that we love them; we’re doing it for peace.
When, if ever, will this gruesome scene cease?
Yet we keep on battling as they hate us more.
Will nothing end this bloody great war?
The parentless son decides on revenge.
“My attackers must die, so it all can end”.
He collects a plague sickness and then sets it free,
One that’ll kill both you and me.
So again our children are called to fight,
Once more, for country and right.
